ORGANIZER
3RD ( STEP CONCEPT ) is international contest of art photography, organized by The Iman Hussein Holy Shrine.

ENTRY FEE
Entry is free of charge. No entry fee required.
PARTICIPATION
Participation is open to all amateur and professional photographers worldwide.
Note: Cultural differences must be taken into account. Photos that do not conform to our culture, such as nudity or women showing features of their bodies or those who are not wearing the hijab properly, will not be accepted. If you have any questions, you may contact the chairman.
Themes: There are no restrictions on subject matter except as set forth in the rules and definitions of particular themes, or as determined by law in the country.
The contestant cannot submit identical or similar photos to different themes.
Copyright: All parts of the photo must be included by the photographer who owns the copyright to all submitted work. Copyright-free material and clip art are not acceptable. Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, ISP and IAAP assume no responsibility for anyone misusing the copyright of the submitted photos.
SUBMISSION
Submission: Photos and a completed participation form must be submitted online through the contest website.
Contestants must use only the English alphabet (A to Z) when submitting their participation. Do not use special characters (- _! ? & @ ….).
File size: All photos must be submitted in JPEG format. It is recommended that photos use RGB color space. Smaller photos are acceptable but will be displayed smaller on screen.
Please check all photo sizes before submitting. Photos with sizes larger than specified will be rejected. The display background is black, please do not fill empty space or add large borders. Borders should be no larger than 2 pixels wide.
File Naming: Files must be renamed to the photo title when submitting an entry. Titles must appear on the participation form as you would like them to appear in the catalog.
IDENTIFICATION
The judging will be done by remote online judging. All judges will be using equipment capable of displaying images at 100% of the image resolution. Judges will be using color calibrated equipment. Target Range will be max 30%.
DATA PROTECTION
By participating in this contest, you consent to the personal details you provide, including email addresses, being used by the contest organizers for the purposes associated with it. You also consent to this information being sent to organizations that have granted official recognition, sponsorship or accreditation to this contest. You acknowledge and agree that entering this contest means that the status and results of your entry may be made public.

DEFINITIONS
All entries must comply with the definitions below for acceptance and awards which will be validated by all international organizations granting recognition or sponsorship.
Step Theme: These are the photos that show the rituals related to the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in Karbala on the tenth of Muharram, or they represent photos of the Arbaeen walk to the Holy Shrine.
Nature Theme: Nature photography may depict all branches of natural history, except anthropology and archaeology.
The storytelling value of the photograph must outweigh the photo quality while maintaining high technical quality.
Human elements must not be present, unless those human elements are integral to the nature story.
The use of scientific tags or radio collars on wild animals is permitted.
Photographs of hybrid plants, cultivated plants, stray animals or pets are not eligible, as is any form of manipulation that alters the reality of the photograph.
Techniques that add, move, replace, or remove pictorial elements are not permitted except by cropping.
Techniques that enhance the presentation of the image without altering the nature story or pictorial content are permitted, including HDR, focus, etc.
Techniques that remove camera-added items such as dust spots and digital noise are permitted.
Composite images are not permitted.
Color images may be converted to gray scale monochrome.
Infrared images are not permitted.
Photos may contain landscapes, geological formations, weather phenomena, and living organisms as the primary subject. This includes photos taken with subjects in controlled conditions, such as zoos, farms, botanical gardens, aquariums, etc.
Monochrome gray scale photos may be submitted, but color-graded photos are not permitted for this theme.
Islamic Architecture Theme: These photos represent Islamic places of worship in mosques and holy shrines to reflect the beauty of those places and their fine details.
NOTIFICATION & CATALOG
The results will be sent by email. Contestants should ensure that they provide an active email address and that spam filters are set to accept emails from step.exb@imamhussain.org. They will not be sent by mail.
