دعوة لحضور إفتتاح معرض كولاج “ضوء” للفنانة السورية عافية رزق

Dar Al Mussawir cordially invites you to the opening of “Light”, a  collage exhibition by the Syrian artist Afya Rizk on Thursday February 15 at  6:00 pm.

About “Light”
“During my journey in the constant search in life, I try to capture every moment of light because it is the source of growth and energy and this is the reason why `Light’ represents the core of my artwork: I capture both light and hope wishing to find them again in my home country Syria.

Living in Beirut has inspired me enough to start searching for light everywhere I go. I have found it in unexpected forms: plants growing wild and free, wildflowers in Beirut sidewalks, old forgotten fabrics, and worn-out clothes and even in a woman’s soul.
‘Light’ is a collage exhibition of flowers and plants I have collected from Beirut, my artwork is returning the light to embrace this city with warmth.”

About the artist:
Afia Rizk was born in Syria and studied Arabic literature at Damascus University. She began her artistic practice since she was nine and has been experimenting with mosaics and collages ever since. As a sixteen-year-old, she won the first prize at the Qutri Festival of Art for her work using reused seeds and different peels. Now, she works with plants, old clothes, and other forgotten objects, and transforms them from what most consider “nothing” into something new. She also paints, makes pottery, and creates handcrafts. Her passion is to teach her techniques to children. She has participated in individual and group exhibitions inside Syria and abroad, and has sold paintings to Syria’s Ministry of Culture.

The exhibition continues until February 22nd.

يتشرف دار المصور بدعوتكم لافتتاح معرض كولاج “ضوء” للفنانة السورية عافية رزق وذلك نهار الخميس ١٥ شباط ٢٠١٨ الساعة السادسة مساءً.

عن المعرض:

“خلال رحلتي في البحث الدائم عن الحياة، أحاول التقاط كل لحظة ضوء لأنه مصدر للطاقة والاستمرارية، لذلك يمثل الضوء عمق هذا العمل الفني. فألتقط الضوء والأمل معه متمنية عودتهما إلى بلدي سوريا.
وقد ألهمني العيش في بيروت وبدأت رحلة البحث عن الضوء في كل مكان. فوجدته في أماكن استثنائية وغير متوقعة: في النبات الذي يكبر بحرية وعشوائية، في الورد البري على حافة الطرق، في قماشٍ منسي، في ملابس مهملة، وحتى في روح امرأة.

“ضوء” هو معرض كولاج لورود ونباتات قد جمعتها من بيروت، وحان الوقت لأعيدها إلى هذه المدينة لتغمرها بدفئها.”
عافية رزق

عن الفنانة:

ولدت عافية رزق في سورية، وتخرجت من جامعة دمشق قسم اللغة العربية حيث بدأت رحلتها الفنية بعمر التاسعة حين نالت الجائزة الأولى في الفسيفساء. في السادسة عشر نالت الجائزة الأولى في المهرجان القطري للفنون في مجال توالف البيئة (لعملها في اعادة استخدام البذور والقشور المختلفة)، أما الآن فهي تعمل في فن الكولاج، في توظيف بقايا الملابس والأقمشة القديمة ونباتات مجففة ومواد أخرى مختلفة في اللوحة الفنية كما تعمل في صناعة الخزف والأعمال اليدوية، حيث بات شغفها تعليم الأطفال هذه الطرق من الفنون.

أقامت عدة معارض فردية، وشاركت في معارض جماعية داخل سورية وخارجها.
لديها عدة لوحات مقتناه من قبل وزارة الثقافة السوري.

يستمر المعرض حتى الثاني والعشرون منه.
